My journey in art began at an early age with acrylic and oil painting, until I discovered the amazing world of wool. This material quickly became my primary medium, and I was especially fascinated by wet felting techniques. From there, I dived deep into research and practice, gradually honing my skills.
The decision to work with wool felt natural to me, as I found functionality in this medium. Over time, I began to think like a designer, creating pieces that serve a purpose beyond decoration, focusing heavily on comfort and practicality. Collaborating with local interior design studios motivated me to expand my work on a global scale.
In my latest project, I challenge nature’s beauty by recreating its perfect imperfections—crafting stones and pebbles from felt to be used as rugs and floor cushions. The felting process is time-consuming, but the final result makes every second worth it. There's always an element of surprise with felting, as the wool takes shape in unexpected ways—it’s like a little bit of magic each time.
Now, I have a small team of fellow "magicians"—friends and family members who help with various stages of the process. We're learning, creating, and having fun together in our cozy studio.
